Adventist Possibility Ministries
"...Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind. ... Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled."
Luke 14:21, 23

Adventist Possibility Ministries seeks to bring wholeness to all in a world that is broken. A sense of “wholeness” is not dependent on the elimination of one’s special need, but is a rediscovery of a person’s completeness in God. This ministry has a unique opportunity of not only proclaiming, but also emphasizing the value and dignity of each person. The Church is not only known by what it says, but also by what it does. Therefore, this ministry exists to coordinate and promote acceptance, support, and inclusion of people who have special needs and those who care for them. This global ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church encompasses ministry for and with those with different abilities such as the Deaf, blind, orphans, and those with mental health and mobility challenges. It also seeks to provide support for caregivers of those with special needs. At the heart of this ministry is the conviction that all have something to contribute and by contributing they have entered the journey toward wholeness.

All are gifted, needed, and treasured!
Groups we are working with:
  • Deaf, hearing loss
Deaf people are one of the largest unreached groups in the world. Estimates of the number of global Deaf range widely. It is estimated that only 2 to 4 percent are Christians.
    01
  • Blind, impaired vision
A broad range of disabilities affect vision. Typically, a visual impairment is identified as a condition in which visual acuity is not sufficient for the individual to participate fully in activities of everyday life.
    02
  • Orphans, street & foster kids, immigrant & refugee
Tragically, millions of children all over the globe have become orphaned for many reasons: war, famine, displacement, disease or poverty. Of the more than 132 million children classified as orphans, 13 million have lost both parents.
    03
  • Physical mobility health & wellness
Many health issues or diagnoses have a profound impact on mobility and physical dexterity (the ability to perform physical tasks). In addition, these conditions typically impact overall physical health and stamina, thus affecting the person’s ability to participate fully in activities of church life.
    04
  • Mental health
Mental illnesses are health conditions involving changes in emotion, thinking and/or behavior. Mental illnesses are associated with distress and/or problems functioning in social, work or family activities.
    05
  • Bereavement
We are all broken in some way. The brokenness of widows is of particular concern in more than 80 different biblical passages. They were one of the most socially and economically vulnerable groups in biblical times.
    06
  • Caregivers of groups 1-6
The care-giving ministry is a support ministry. These individuals have been given the gift of often seeing in others possibilities that, without their care, would never be reached.
